Kroger and Walgreens Brands of Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen and Aspirin Recalled
Certain bottles of ibuprofen and acetaminophen sold under the Walgreens and Kroger brands have been recalled due to packaging that is not child-safe.

Certain bottles of ibuprofen and acetaminophen sold under the Walgreens and Kroger brands have been recalled due to packaging that is not child-safe.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CSPC) issued announcements that Aurorahealth LLC recalled both the Kroger and Walgreens brands of acetaminophen in June. Children who swallow the over-the-counter medications risk poisoning.
The recall includes Walgreens brand acetaminophen labeled Easy Open for Adults, Pain Reliever, Fever Reducer, Extra Strength, 500 mg in 150-caplet bottles. They were sold nationwide from October 2021 through April 2022. The UPC number is 311917218090. (Lot numbers include P2100627, P2100671, P2100672, P2100689 P2100747 and P2100859, with an expiration date of November 2022, and Lot number P2200050 with an expiration date of January 2023.)
Aurorahealth also recalled the Kroger brand acetaminophen labeled Arthritis Pain, Extended-Release, 650 mg, 225 tablets. The UPC number is 04126001284. (Lot numbers are P2100890, P2100891, P2100992 with an expiration date of August 2023, and lot number P2101010 with an expiration date of April 2023.) In addition to Kroger, the acetaminophen was sold nationwide from December 2021 through March 2022 at Baker's, City Market, Dillons, Dillons Marketplace, Fred Meyer, Fry's Food and Drug, Fry's Marketplace, Fry's Mercado, Gerbes, JayC, JayC Food Plus, King Soopers, King Soopers Fresh Fare, King Soopers Marketplace, Kroger Fresh Fare, Kroger Marketplace, Mariano's, Metro Market, Payless Super Market, Pick ‘n Save, Pick ‘n Save Marketplace, Quality Food Center (QFC), Smith's, and Smith’s Marketplace.
Kroger brand aspirin and ibuprofen were recalled by Time-Cap Labs because their packaging does not meet child-safety requirements. The green and yellow aspirin label describes it as Low Dose aspirin, 81 mg Delayed-Release Tablets, Pain Reliever, 300 enteric coated tablets. The UPC code for the aspirin is 0004126001295 in Lot numbers A077J, F032H, F035H, J011H and K031H.
The recalled Kroger brand ibuprofen has a blue and white label that says Capsules, 200 mg Pain Reliever/Fever Reducer, 160 softgels. The UPC code is 0004126001298 in Lot numbers FH1163, C11044, C11047, C11064, C11065, C11079 and C11084. Both the aspirin and ibuprofen were sold in most of the same Kroger-affiliated stores as above, plus Food 4 Less, FoodsCo, Ralph's and Ralph's Fresh Fare.
