You Said It! Best Shoes for RA
We asked our readers and followers “What are your go-to shoe types/brands for your rheumatoid arthritis?” Here are their answers.I wear Easy Spirit clogs. Most important for me is that the shoes have a high toe box. My crooked hammer toes love them. And, as your feet swell during the day, this easy on/off is perfect. You can just slip your feet out to cool them off

I like Brooks running shoes. I don’t run, but they are the most comfortable for me to wear on a daily basis.

I wear Nike flip-flops every day, all year long and also wear New Balance or Skechers shoes when it is cold out.

Either Bass boat shoes or Doc Martens ... random, I know!
—Kellie Smith, Portland, Maine
SAS. They measure your foot at the store, even the width. If they don’t have your size, they order it at no at extra cost. The shoes are pricey, but worth it. They last for years.
—Stacy Carr, Seymour, Tennessee
I like Orthaheels, Vionics, Skechers GOgamat and GOwalk and Dansko.
—Lu Costa, Athol, Massachusetts
New Balance for me. They’re the only ones my foot surgeon wants me to wear, and the sole has to be stiff.
