Arthritis Foundation to Welcome Leading Clinical Trial Researchers to Atlanta for Osteoarthritis Workshop
Standing firmly on our tradition of making each day another stride towards a cure and getting new and effective treatments to clinics faster, we are pleased to host the 2016 Accelerating Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials Workshop, February 24-25, in Atlanta.
The Osteoarthritis (OA) Workshop is a gathering of some of the most brilliant scientific minds across academia, analytics, government, clinical trial design and OA scientific discovery, and has the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with osteoarthritis.
Amanda Niskar, DrPH, MPH, BSN, national scientific director for the Arthritis Foundation, says: “I am very excited about the potential this workshop holds for those who live with osteoarthritis every day. The future impact this workshop will have in getting new diagnostics and treatments to the clinic speaks to the Arthritis Foundation’s scientific leadership and our commitment to the goal of one day finding a cure for this disease.”
We are excited about the potential outcomes from the workshop and what this caucusing of the world’s brightest arthritis researchers means for those in the arthritis community. The focus of the workshop is on the future, as well as short- and long-term opportunities for innovation in OA clinical trials.
The remarkable research we are funding places us on a fast track to accelerating OA clinical trial design. New products, tools and technologies that may emerge from this workshop could also change lives.
We look forward to sharing the outcomes with you. You can learn more about the OA Workshop on our website.
