2016 National JA Conference Scholarship Opportunity!
The Arthritis Foundation was just awarded a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) award to develop a program to further educate families about research at both 2016 National JA Conference locations.
This year’s session is designed to help families understand the importance of their participation, what it means to fully participate, and how to become a partner in research. The program will include topics such as:
Prior experience in research is not necessary. This opportunity is available to anyone who wants to learn about research. In addition to learning more about your role in research, you will have a voice in revising the session’s content for future meetings! The Arthritis Foundation, as part of this award, will be awarding 15 scholarships to attend each JA Conference to take part in the session. After the conference, you will be asked to share with us ways to improve the session and related materials.
If you have already submitted an application for a JA Conference Scholarship, and would like us to know you are interested in this research education opportunity, please email your name, address and email address as it appeared on your application to [email protected].
If you have not yet applied for a JA Conference scholarship and are interested in attending and participating in this research session, enter “RESEARCH SESSION” in the last field of the application labeled, “Any other details you would like to provide?” along with any other details you wish to include.
The submission deadline is February 26, 2016
